Puzzle 126 ("Rectangles", Double Choco)

I've grown really fond Nikoli-styled Double Choco puzzles; they're much less focused on intuition and more on flow, and that has made for a much more enjoyable solving experience.  I decided to construct one of my own.  This was not easy to do!  Took just over a half hour, I think.

Some day I want to construct a puzzle with this flow while also maintaining clue symmetry, but I'm not quite there yet :)

Puzzle 125 (Simple Loop)

A bit of an older construction (I made this about a month ago), but it might as well receive new life on this blog.  This was constructed partly as a challenge to not use any fancy deductions like parity bouncing when constructing a simple loop -- it's really easy to abuse those types of deductions given how little freedom you have in constructing.  I think I succeeded on this one.

Puzzle 124 ("Antisymmetry", Chained Block)

I finally dove into the world of Chained Block while working through the puzzles in Penpa 2022.  This genre is so much fun!  I decided to give it a whirl.

As usual, my tendency to create restrictive themes is on point here.  This took a while to construct, but I'm happy with how it turned out (even if it is certainly on the easier side!).

Puzzle 123 ("Zeros", Statue Park)

I constructed this puzzle yesterday as part of a speedsetting event hosted in the CTC Discord.  The theme was "0", and our goal was to construct a Statue Park.  This one didn't place on the podium (that's what happens when Sam, Freddie, and Prasanna all participate...), but I'm quite proud that I managed to make this one in such a short time.  It's even antisymmetric!

Note that this puzzle uses a double tetromino set.

Puzzle 122 ("Clones", Midloop)

Clones themes are fun to execute.  Midloop is a fun genre to construct.  Combine them both and you get something that was relaxing to create.
