Puzzles 362 and 363 (Slitherlink)

Here are two Nikoli-style Slitherlink puzzles on 10x18 grids.  These are always more difficult to construct than I expect.  It's pretty easy to make a puzzle with lots of easy steps, but it's much harder to create one which feels intentional.  I also tend to force linear solve paths in my puzzles, so when constructing a Nikoli-style grid, those intentions must be thrown out the window.

I think both puzzles before are successful attempts at the style, particularly the second one.

Puzzle 191 ("Nine Boxes", Slitherlink)

Another day, another Slitherlink.  This one was also inspired by a wolog theme, but being the constructor I am, I decided to expand the scope of the theme a bit.

My main goal with this puzzle was to make a region that is densely clued but still ambiguous for large portions of the solve.  This is still fairly tough for me to pull off, but I think I did it here.

Puzzle 187 (Slitherlink)

One more post today for good measure.

A while ago, wolog asked me for a theme for a Slitherlink, which I happily gave. He later challenged me to make a puzzle out of that same theme, which I also did!  This is the result.  Comparing wolog's puzzle with mine, it's interesting to see the differences in design philosophy; even though both puzzles have the same given distribution, they solve quite differently.
