Puzzle 133 ("Spheal", NIKOJI)

This is definitely a smaller puzzle in a weirder genre, but I do like the solve.  And there is no better way to pay homage to my one true love.

Rules (cf. Eric Fox). Divide the grid into regions of orthogonally connected cells, each containing exactly one clue. Regions with the same clue type must be exactly identical in shape, orientation, and position relative to the clue. Regions with different clue types may not be the same shape, counting rotations and reflections as the same.

Puzzle 132 ("Medium Nikoli" Series, Nurikabe)

Next up is Nurikabe.  I actually don't have Pencil Puzzle 2022 with me right now (I'm temporarily in New Jersey), so I'm not sure if this is actually the next genre to appear in there, but it should be close enough.

I originally thought this was somewhere between Medium and Hard, but now I think this is somewhere between Hard and Extra.  I'm honestly not sure.  If anyone happens to be more familiar with the Nikoli rating system, I'd be curious to read your thoughts :)

Puzzle 131 ("Medium Nikoli" series, Double Choco)

The next genre in the magazine was Double Chocolate (often shortened to Double Choco).  I'm quite happy with this one.

Puzzle 130 ("Medium Nikoli" series, Yajilin)

A few days ago, I finally finished Pencil Puzzle 2022!  It's a cool collection of puzzles and is worth a purchase.

Each genre in that book starts with a collection of 10x10 puzzles and then moves on to at least one medium-sized puzzle (exactly one in the case of the two Omopa genres Chained Block and Dotchi Loop). I want to construct a "Nikoli-style" medium sized puzzle in each of the genres listed in the book.  Except Numberlink.  I'm not going to hold myself to a 17x17 puzzle there.

First up is Yajilin.  I'm happy with how this one turned out; it's smooth enough, especially with the restrictive clue symmetry.
